Who we are

HBA, which operates from Henley Business School at the University of Reading, is a network of experienced business leaders, successful entrepreneurs and investors. The network’s aim is to facilitate opportunities for members to invest in and mentor (S)EIS registered early stage businesses launched by entrepreneurs who graduated from or are connected with the Henley Business School and University of Reading.

Members of the HBA network have a declared interest to invest in new and early stage high growth businesses whose founders are seeking £50,000 to £250,000 to accelerate the growth of their businesses.

The HBA hosts events throughout the year to receive presentations from founders whose businesses will be preselected and prepared for investment.

The HBA network is guided and overseen by the board of HBA Ltd, a company limited by guarantee and managed from day to day by an Executive Committee of members. Support is provided by the Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship, led by Jurek Sikorski, the Director of HBA Ltd.

HBA is a member of the UKBAA and is sponsored by Barclays and Harrison Clark Rickerbys.
