Investing in Women Code

Henley Business Angels is passionate about investing in diversity, and in particular, in female entrepreneurs. We’ve put this passion into action by becoming signatories of the Investing in Women Code to show that we are committed to supporting diversity and inclusion in access to finance.

The Investing in Women Code asks signatories to commit to having a member of the senior leadership team responsible for supporting equality in all its interactions with entrepreneurs; to providing data on financing entrepreneurs disaggregated by gender that will be collated in an annual report by HM Treasury; and, to adopt internal practices which aim to improve the potential for female entrepreneurs to successfully access the tools, resources, investment and finance they need to build and grow their business.

Syndicate of the Year Finalist

Henley Business Angels was shortlisted for the Syndicate of the Year Award at the UKBAA Angel Investment Awards 2019! This Award recognises the most active and impactful Angel Syndicate or Group in the UK, making not only a significant number of investments during the past year, but also bringing strong added value to support the growth and success of their portfolio, especially through the role of a lead angel(s).

HBA is part of the Henley Business School at the University of Reading, operating under Henley Business Angels Ltd, and is one of the many initiatives directed by the Henley Centre of Entrepreneurship.

HBA is sponsored and supported by the following companies:

Worldwide banking partners Barclays, who act as banking partners to some of the most disruptive and innovative businesses in the UK and beyond, and understand entrepreneurs and what it takes to help make a venture successful. For the ambitious entrepreneur growth can sometimes happen so quickly that you have little time to focus on your financial strategy, which is why it’s so important to have a banking partner who can keep pace with your business.
